Transfer Adobe PDFs from older iPad to new iPad

I have quite a number of PDFs on my old iPad Air 2012 that I want to transfer to my new iPad 10.2" but can't seem to find out how.

iPad Air, iOS 12

Generally, you open the PDF with whatever reader App you have installed on your iPad - then, using the Share Sheet (i.e., find the icon with a square and upward pointing arrow), share the file with your new device using AirDrop - or Cloud storage service.

Alternatively, if you ensure you are running iOS12 on your iPad Air, you should be able to access the PDF files with the native Files App. Using Files, you can copy the PDFs to a Cloud storage location (such as iCloud, Google Drive or MS OneDrive - there are others) - where you can access the files from your new iPad.
