This version of iTunes has not been correctly configured.

All of a sudden iTunes won't open. Nothing new with my computer or OS.... I'm running 10.13.6 on a 2012 MBP. I get this error message "This version of iTunes has not been correctly configured."

Any help would be appreciated.

See iTunes for Mac installers - Apple Community and reinstall iTunes 12.8.2.3. I did this recently and it threw up security warnings regarding an expired certificate, which I resolved by taking my computer offline and setting my clock back a year during the install.
