A roar from my computer
Hi all, my computer made a lion roar... twice now. What is this about?

Anybody around with physical and password access that might want to prank you?
Any settings or sounds or apps that have been installed that might change default Mac sounds?
Otherwise, failing hardware is also a possibility as mentioned above, and you’ll want to take it in for service.
Does it have a mechanical HDD, only other would be a cooling fan.
EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report...
Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.
There is also Malwarebytes which may take care of it...

Thanks or trying!
I still don't know exactly what it was but I did receive a malware alert... so if it doesn't roar at me again then it could have been that.
The first time it happened I thought (wtf!) it was a movie clip from a youtube window that I didn't close... or something explainable like that. But when it happened the 2nd time and I didn't have any browsers open then I started to wonder that there may be something wrong. It was a startlingly realistic 3 or 4 second lion (or other huge cat) roar.
Anyway, thanks for the effort and I'll be back again if the lion comes back!
Something is breaking.
