Since AMD dGPU info on System Report is the same for everyone, perhaps the problem is not on the dGPU but on some other component... or just software-related.

OK i see, well if your CPU load is quite high then it may help, some people also say it can help with battery life also.

That's not an option for me; if it isn't fixed in 10.15.4, I am bringing it back and beginning the process. Fingers crossed they will make it easy (which I am not expecting).

Indeed, it is. It's pointless, wasteful and yields no benefits other than lowering heat and fan noise during light tasks, when any external display it's connected.

I agree 100%, minimum an extra screen, some use 2 or more, in my case when I’m at the office I use a curved 49-inch screen.

At home I use a smaller one.

and the fans finally calmed down.

The GPU watt usage is still around 17W even in Windows. Unfortunately, I think that it’s a strong indication that it’s a hardware issue.

Are both your displays "legacy" interface, like HDMI, or is one a DisplayPort family device?
