If you’re struggling with a specific site with the native Safari browser, after updating to iPadOS, the workaround that often resolves the problem is to switch from “Request Desktop” to “Request Mobile Website”...
Using the aA “view” icon at the left side of the address bar, select “Request Mobile Website”. This changes the behaviour of your browser and its interaction with the target website - and is likely to mitigate your immediate issue.
By default, you iPadOS browser “appears” to the website to be Safari 13 on MacOS (Catalina) - even though you are actually an iPad; this seems to cause some problems with some websites.
Using an alternative browser, such as Firefox, is also a viable strategy to work around this problem.
