Can anyone with the new Macbook Pro 16 go to System Information > Power to check their full charge capacity?
I got it yesterday and had around 8700 now i have around 7800. Should I be concerned?

Resetting SMC could solve the issue, though if it doesn't work, try to contact Apple support or you'd better make Genius Bar reservation or take your MacBook Pro to Apple authorized service provider to check up the battery which seems to be abnormal.

Yeah, I read a post on reddit where he shut off his MBP after it reached full charge and let it stay plugged in for several hours, and that worked for him. Mine is at 8625 mAh now after plugged in for 2 hours, almost at the design capacity 8790 mAh.
Sometimes it might take a few cycles before the battery settles down. Also, the number can bounce up and down.
Do not play too long with "power downs". Designed battery life is about 1000 cycles (1 charge from dead to full is a cycle, one charge from 50% to 100% is 1/2 cycle). Some cannot avoid using cycles because they are mobile. Others fear that always plugged in means it will overcharged which it will not.
I resetted the SMC and the battery capacity remained the same. I might have to bring it to an Apple store to have it checked out. Thanks!
Hi madagaska, did you get this resolved? I just got a new 16" MBP and the coconutBattery app is telling me that my MBP's battery has design capacity of 8790 mAh, but full charge capacity of only 7807 mAh, so my brand new 3 day old MBP only has 88.8% battery capacity?!! Resting the SMV didn't change anything. Thanks in advance for you help!
