reply to mail shown in sent folder but not sent using ipad with ios 13

I have an ipad using the latest version of iOS 13. I use a mail account on the imap server of orange.fr. When I reply to a message (possibly only occurring when from another orange.fr user) the reply is shown as sent in the sent folder but neither the original author of the note or myself, using bcc, receive it. The same applies when using the orange mail app or the ios mail app.

I also have an older ipad using iOS 10 - replying with this ipad works as it should, with all recipients receiving the reply.

Also replying using the orange internet version for mail works as it should.

Is this a known problem with iOS 13?

While looking for support on the orange site, I read that the Orange mail app and the iOS mail app apparently have a conflict, leading to problems. I removed the Orange mail app and now all seems well with the iOS mail app. Here is the link, in French I’m afraid:

Hello,

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.

I spoke too soon! The only way to send to other emails @orange.fr is to use the online option. Both the mail and orange apps pit replies in sent folder but do NOT send the reply.

I have just noticed that after the re-addition of the orange account the bcc copies of my answers landed in the SPAM folder. This did not happen before so perhaps the issue is resolved! Many thanks to zmclearan in that case!

Deleted and replaced but no change. I should perhaps add that if I reply to a note from my gmail account that I sent to my Orange account, the reply can be found in the gmail inbox but the bcc to the Orange account does not show in the Orange inbox. It seems to suggest that it is a particular issue with the IMAP Orange server?
