Cracking the back of my iPhone 8

I shattered the back of my iPhone 8 but I don’t want to upgrade yet. My phone is fine just the glass on the back is shattered. I was wondering if it’s possible to color the back of my iPhone 8 in the cracks. For example how that was a trend with the iPhone 4

I was trying to look everywhere online but it seems that no one has tried this with an iPhone 8 or above with the glass on the back. I just wanted to find out if it is safe for my IPhone 8 to fill in the cracks with color to make cool looking glass art. If so, what would be recommended to use? I don’t want anything to get inside my phone that will damage it.
