Connecting Macbook to windows desktop monitor
I want to connect my macbook 13 inch to my HP desktop monitor.. Is it possible?

Which exact model are both your MacBook and the HP monitor? If you don't know the model number of the HP monitor, do you know what video ports it uses?
The newer MacBooks have only a single USB-C port. As such you would need the appropriate adapter to provide a connection between both devices.
