Install a Canon Pixma ip100 portable printer

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) and have been loaned a Canon Pixma ip100 portable printer to use while away. I am running into trouble installing drivers and getting help via an online manual. Your help is most appreciated! TY

Hi again, Roxanne.

Sorry to be late back here. Busy weekend. I had the same thing happen yesterday. I needed to install theater rehearsal software that is not in the Mac App Store. I had ot use a link on the theater's facebook page. I airdropped the installer from my iPad to my iMac.

When I followed the install instructions, macOS popped this:

Is that what you saw? If so, simply try it a second time. When I did, the dialog box had a bit different text and gave me the option of not following its warnings. You'll have to enter your admin password.

It worked, just took some extra steps to satisfy System Integrity Protection.
