Trying to run the music app in Catalina, and it just crashes after running for a minute or two. It seems as if it might be related to airplay devices, as trying to play out an airplay device seems to make it crash easier.
Anyone experience something similar?
I did delete the prefs for the music app and that didn't help.

Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music.
Try holding down option as you launch Music and selecting the library in your users Music/Music folder.

So update... created a new user and all is well there. Same iTunes library.

Already tried deleting my prefs and it makes no sense..
Migrate your data to the new account where things work properly.

I tried this and that didn't help, but thank you for the idea.
Super frustrating.. as the user account with the problem is where I like to play my music.
Any other ideas??
While that is an option, I'd rather I solved the root cause instead of spending time rebuilding a new user account to match the old one.
Indeed, but offhand I don't know how that can be achieved.
