IMPORTS folder vs PHOTOS folder

I added some photos and they were put into the folder named IMPORTS. I would prefer that all my photos are in the folder called PHOTOS at the top of the list. Is there a way to move them? Or set up the preference so all the photos end up in one folder? Thanks

IMPORTS isn't a Place, it's a list. It's there so you can quickly find your recently imported images. Every photo in IMPORTS is already in the PHOTOS folder.

If you are seeing a photo in Imports and want to find it quickly in "All Photos", right-click or ctrl-click the photo and click "Show in All Photos". The Imports are sorted by the date of import, so you will always find your recently imported photos at the bottom of the album. The "All Photos" album is sorted by the capture date, when the photo has been taken. The sort order of "All Photos" has changed in Photos 5.0 on Catalina. In Photos 4.0 it is still sorted by the date of Import.
