Could you please post the link to the article stating that?
If you are able to post an article from Apple, you will be the first to ever do so.
EDIT: From QuickTimeKirk’s link.
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD, APPLE TV and HOMEPOD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

You checked it where? Apple has NOT published anything stating iPhone warranty is international. As stedman1 correctly posted, the warranty is and always has been that warranty service may be limited to country of purchase. There has been absolutely NO change in terms from Apple.
There was an article posted in some online publication touting this, which many in India have taken as gospel. The article was not from Apple and the fact is Apple, the ONLY authority on warranty coverage for Apple products has NOT changed their warranty.
In most cases the warranty is only valid in the country of purchase.
Yes definitely i just checked the apple terms about the warranty now they are providing international warranty so no tension you can buy from any country u will get warranty claim in india
I'm curious where you got these terms. I've heard some claims, but nothing backed up official by Apple. Not even a leak.
