Mail items from “On my Mac” do not move to Mail folders

Good morning everyone, I’ve decided to add old .mbox files from my old Mac to the current one I use and while every email was successfully imported in the Import, when I try to copy / move them to my sent items (in order to have the full history of my account there) they seem to be stuck. I saw part of them transferred though.

Any thoughts?

exporting email from Mail to folder outside of Mail When I export an “on my Mac" Mail folder, e.g. all my April 2020 emails, to another folder, does the export copy - or move - the items? If I don’t want to keep them at all in Mail but just want to store them, do I have to go through the export process? Or can I just move that folder into an outside of Mail folder? And if so, can I do that within the app, or do I need to track down the folder structure somewhere in the library? Exporting seems pretty laborious. And ... what’s the “table of contents” that gets included in the export? Appreciate any guidance .

Adding back Mail folders and emails Was transferring "On My Mac" mail folders to a new computer a few months ago and had some transfer issues. Eventually, I was able to offload about 20 folders of old emails (approx 2GB) to an ext HD. There are 20,000 old emails in folders. How can I add these back to my current Mail app so they are organized and searchable. I just want them in the "On My Mac" section, with a minimum of effort, and without disrupting my well-tuned current Apple Mail. Thanks!

Quick update? Do you think it might need time as it is moving more than 25,000 items (emails)?
