Macbook pro keyboard not recognized

I have a macbook pro (15-inch 2019) on Catalina 10.15.1 Every now and then when I open the lid, MacOS didn't think the laptop has keyboard and start searching for wireless keyboards. After I forcefully power cycle, it recognizes keyboard and works fine after that. Did anyone experience this or have any idea what the problem might be?

@leroydouglas

Thank you for the response. I had done SMC reset couple of times but the problem still occurs every now and then (not always though). As per the Bluetooth setting, I do want the last item "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer" checked since I use it all the time i.e. using bluetooth keyboard to wake up macbook when it is connected to an external monitor in closed-clamshell mode.
