Purchase Refund

You are Italian, but are you in Italy now? You will probably have to return them in New York. "Products can be returned only in the country in which they were originally purchased." - https://www.apple.com/shop/help/returns_refund

Unfortunately there is no solution. You can contact Apple in Italy and ask if they will let you return them there but if they say no then they are just obeying the terms I linked earlier. You bought them in the USA so the USA terms apply. If you know somebody who is coming to the USA before the return period expires (see the document I linked because there are special dates right now) then they could return them for you.
