Personal Hotspot not working with Amazon Fire

Ever since I upgraded my iPhone XS to the latest iOS 13, my personal hotspot is not working with my child's Amazon fire device. It will see the iPhone and connect but it says "internet service is not working" and gives an error symbol.

I have made sure to upgrade to the latest versions (iOS 13.2.3 currently). I have tried all the recommended actions like turning on and off the "Allow others to join", turning on/off wifi, turning on/off cellular data, restarting devices, resetting network settings on the iPhone, etc. I have Verizon as my cellular provider.

Any ideas?

Hi TNBrownDawgs,

It seems you're having trouble with Personal Hotspot, and I want to help.

It seems you've tried the correct steps so far, review this article to make sure you've taken all the needed steps:

If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) - Apple Support

Have you tested Personal Hotspot with any other device? Let me know if this happens when connected to another device. I this only happens on your Kindle Fire, you may want to forget the network from your Kindle Fire and try again.

Good luck!
