How do you add Google Drive into the favourites of your Finder sidebar?

I've downloaded the 'Backup & Sync from Google' app. It's running and uploading; I can see the little icon in the top screen bar. But I can not add the Google drive folder to my Finder. Must the syncing be completed first before this is available? I can not find the folder either in 'Spotlight search'. Thanks for helping me out!
