Purchasing Airpods and Warranty as a gift

I am giving my daughter Airpods for Christmas 2019 and also purchasing the 2 year warranty. I AM PURCHASING THESE BOTH THRU AMAZON.COM If, within the 2 years, she has an issue with the Airpods does she just need a copy of the warranty, or will she need the purchase receipt also? thanks
