IPOD TOUCH SCREEN NOT RESPONSIVE

Hello from the UK. I had the same problem as some of you with a non responsive screen on my old IPOD. I carried out all of the suggested tasks, to no avail. This was including restoring it via itunes, again no joy. I was just about to take a hammer to it, when I gave it one more go, but this time restoring as a NEW ipod and YES the slider worked. OK you have to completely re set up the POD as if new, but not having to buy a new one saving Pounds, Sorry Dollars in most cases. Hope that this works for you all too.
