Storage

I pay to have the extra storage on the cloud but my phone says my photos are still taking up 6.2 gigs of space

Phone storage is different than iCloud Storage. Even if you use iCloud Photos on your phone, the photos still take up space on the device.


iCloud is not for off device storage. It doesn’t work that way. iCloud is for backups and it keeps documents, calendar events, reminders, notes, etc. in sync across devices.
