User account not showing at login

Hi

I trust all is well, may I please ask a question :)

I have a user account that shows up in Mac Drive, users, but it does not show up as an option to log into when I try? Simple is missing from the Log In page.

Also under System Preferences in Users the account is a no show, I should say no file vault has been deployed

ANY HELP !!

Show a hidden user account

If you want to show the hidden user, set the user’s IsHidden attribute to 0:

sudo dscl . create /Users/hiddenuser IsHidden 0

If you want, you can delete the IsHidden attribute instead.

How do you have the Users & Groups "Login Options" set -- is it "List of users" (you see all the icons for each user) or is it "Name and Password" and you see two boxes, one for username and one for password, with both being blank? Or do you have "Automatic login" turned on?

Sounds to me you want to be in "List of users" mode -- you will need to click the padlock in lower left corner and enter your password to change these Login options.

Good luck...
