No acces to users

i have a 2018 macmini with the latest system. My users are on a external hd.

today my mac suddely has no acces to the users. On startup I only get the login screen and when I fill in my password, it says that I cannot login because the users disk cannot be opened.

I know the external disk is working and the files are there. I did login with command R , reinstalled system and I did Disk repair.

I do have a Carbon Copy backup, but as I cannot login, I do not see any of the disks.

any idea to solve this is welcome.

Mac mini, macOS 12.6

You have a custom setup which is known to have become broken by the macOS 12.5.1 update. You can read all about the problem and discussion in this other thread:

FYI, you posted this in the OS X Mavericks forum which is a very old version of macOS from about 2013 and is not compatible with a 2018 Mac. You should have posted this in the macOS Monterey forum as it would get more views as few people check these older forums.
