I will update the post as it develops.
I have had ear drainage, inner ear skin is peeling in my right and left ear. I've stopped using the silicon ear tips. Now, I have to go to the doctor because I think I have an ear infection.
I haven't had an issue with previous ear tips from other companies before. This is a first for me.
It’s a little difficult to get photos of the inside of one’s ears or the leakage... and I have waited months to get a hospital appointment due to covid restrictions...
This is exactly why it surprises me people are actually trying to get refunds. I just sold mine and used that money to get 2nd gen AirPods. Much easier than waiting months on Apple to do their thing
This is actually quite bizarre.
If you contact apple they will take care of you.
It isn’t the tips!!! I changed mine to a different brand and the ear problems came back.
It has been debunked here...at least as well as Apple says otherwise. They have not reached out or done any studies with a single person on this board. At least we have have attempted testing.
Yup same issue, didn’t know so many people are having the same issue. I have stopped using since then pain and itching has gone away. Will now reach out to Apple support.
So can anyone write this on Twitter with a nice hashtag? Maybe we find more people with this problem and Apple has to react.
If they do offer this as a suggestion, they should allow a refund as a choice still; no one should be forced to risk their ears further.
Your post so eloquently described what many of us have experienced, yet apple ignores their customers’ concerns.
i think it’s time media for hold of this issue
I think making this public on Twitter with hashtag will help. There are more people with issuies and they don‘t know this thread.
Denying the issue would be a sign of weakness; surly not Apple's intention when trying to be a market leader.
What would you recommend to make our concerns responded to?
Solved?!?
