I will update the post as it develops.
Yes! Within 15 mins of use, my ear(s) go crazy itch and feel inflamed and raw. I went to the doctor- nothing. She prescribed ear drops for bacteria. Doesn’t help at all. My only relief was to put hydrocortisone on a Q-Tip and place it in my ear. Now, I am going to order different tips and let my doctor know. Thx for mentioning this.
I have had the same problem so I have ordered these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082Y118K7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ill report back if they work.
Yes, you keep saying that, but when we switch to other tips on the Airpods, the problem improves, even if it doesn't necessarily go away.
Get in touch Apple, they have told I will get resolve of even if that means being refunding.
They are 3rd party tips I got from a local e-commerce website, there is no brand.
Any clear fluid drainage accompanying these other issues? Please open a case with Apple and report!
Return them while you are in the 14 day window and get your money back.
That sounds severe. I would see a doctor for evaluation and treatment.
I think you are correct and we need take time without using any in ear device to fully desensitize.
Call Apple, they will esacalate the issue.. Thats what they did to my end and request APP to be shipped back. I hope this helps.
I, too, get reactions to non-gold earrings. It's the nickel in the metal that does it. I'm willing to bet that it's not the silicone but the metal inside that is causing the problem, at least for me.
Has anyone tried just wearing the tips in their ears without the APP attached to confirm that the problem is with the silicone rubber tips and not some other aspect of the APP?
From the regular update on this situation and Apple, this is what we know about the materials:
It gets worse the longer you use the AAP and only gets better with total Stop using them.
