Bought the APP recently and used them about 7-8 hours in total. Here is my current status.

I will update the post as it develops.
if there’s any possibility that it could be the noise cancelling frequency itself that’s causing irritation to ears. I’m seem to get heavy irritation with bose qc earbuds and AirPods Pro (silicon tips, foam tips, no tips at all). Zero irritation with AirPods 1 and AirPods 3 (no noise cancellation).
Since I tried about anything to determine what the reason is for the allergy, I know it is not the silicone eartips. Also without the tips I get the same reaction. So my guess was what was also mentioned here was the allergy for (synthetic) resins in the hard plastic. Last I tried to wrap the whole Airpods in plastic foil so there was no contact with the skin and the plastic.
Still same reaction. So what can it be? I'm running out of ideas and I start thinking about the RF signals. I don't believe the ANC has anything to do with this.
It didn’t matter which tips I used. Stock Apple, memory foam, etc. The irritation still happen. Although, interestingly enough, it didn’t happen when I first got them.
After a few months, the AirPods started to develop this rattle when you moved. Had AppleCare, so replaced them a few times (it kept happening). But, the irritation didn’t start until the first replacement.
I also switched to Sony - wf-1000xm4. Apart from being a bit bulkier than the Beats Fit Pro I had I’m actually impressed with them. The connectivity is good and the sound is fantastic - and no leaking ears!
I just sent a comment to Apple asking if we might have the option of lucite tips for AirPods Pro. Lucite ear molds were the answer for my hearing aids when I had a severe reaction to custom silicone molds. My AirPods 3 give me better audio quality for music than my hearing aids!
I started having ear problems almost the moment I got my AirPod pro. I even bought new tips from apple thinking it could be because they needed replacing. It's incredibly disappointing that so many people have had this issue. Why hasn't Apple come up with a quality tip for their expensive product, I am half convince the plastic used is also an irritant. Are AirPods manufactured in the USA or China?
I can't use my ear pods. I would say it is the white plastic material used to form the ear piece rather than the silicone tip. Apple could at least acknowledge there is an issue. If someone came up with a thin nonreactive jacket for the ear pieces I would buy. Its a heck of a lot of money to pay for something that causes serious ear issues.
Wow, way worse than my inner ear issue. You definitely have some allergic reaction to the plastic or the metal connector at the bottom. Sorry this has to happen to anyone.
Did you also try the memory foam tips too?
Exactly what I've been trying to tell you guys for months, its got to be something in the body of the Airpod causing the contact dermatitis.
Read the entire thread and then make user you click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page and report your issue to Apple. There currently is no solution nor a recall.
I had so much ear drainage that I had to go to my doctor. Looking to get alternative tips for my AirPods Pro. Does Apple know the issue and planing to make allergy free tips?
One ear at a time - until I’m sure i won’t have a reaction.
Actually, I just found a memory foam product online from complyfoam.com for this device. Who knows if it is any good. I might try them so as to salvage the ear pods which are not usable.
