Copy CD to Thumb Drive
How do I download music from a cd to a thumb drive on my MacBook Pro. My new car doesn't have a CD player

I don't know how it works with Music but with iTunes you could then drag the tracks to a thumb drive to copy them.
Now you're at the mercy of the whims of your car's player. What formats it supports and how it should be organized will depend upon the car.
