I downloaded a cd to Apple Music and would like to transfer that playlist to a flash drive. The flash drive is only showing up on the IMac home screen and not in Apple Music. How can I get the cd on the flash drive?

Once the tracks reside locally in your iTunes library, you can drag-n-drop tracks from iTunes to the flash drive.
Note that the flash drive will not show in Music. It will be in Finder.

Don't bother. Apple Music tracks that are downloaded for off-line listening require an active subscription, and cannot be played on non-Apple devices.
It was not an Apple Music track. It was a cd that I have and added it to Music just like I did ITunes before.
