How do I upload movies to iCloud from an older version of iMovie: iMovie ‘09?

If you have iMovie 10 on your computer you can, from within iMovie 10, do File/Update Projects and Events. That will update your iMovie 8 projects into the iMovie 10 library where they can be edited and shared out. You might have more options that way. They also will still remain in iMovie 8 unless you decide to delete them from there.


You also can share out your iMovie 8 projects as standalone movies that you can import into the Photos app.
