For transfer to iPhone from Camera --> Lightning to USB Camera Adapter

With the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, it's easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPhone with Lightning support so you can view them on the gorgeous Retina display and share them with family and friends.

After you connect the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, your iPad or iPhone automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPhone to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad or iPhone are added to your computer's photo library.

The Lightning to USB Camera Adapter supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4. Requires iOS 9.2 or later.

Transfer images in Image Capture on Mac

You can use Image Capture to transfer images and video clips to your Mac from many cameras, iOS devices, iPadOS devices and other devices that have a camera. Once you transfer the items, you can delete them from the device.

  1. Connect your device to your computer, then turn the device on.
  2. You may be asked to unlock your device with a passcode or to trust the device.
  3. In the Image Capture app  on your Mac, select the device in the Devices or Shared list.
  4. Use the buttons at the bottom of the Image Capture window to view the thumbnails as a list (), to see larger thumbnails () or to rotate () images.
  5. Drag the slider in the lower-right corner of the window to change the thumbnail size.
  6. Click the Import To pop-up menu, then choose where to save the images or which app to use to open the image.
  7. To import only some of the images, select them, then click Import. To import all the images, click Import All.
  8. You can also set up Image Capture to do the following:
    • Automatically transfer items from your device to your computer whenever they’re connected: Click the Show Hide button  in the lower-left corner of the Image Capture window, click the “Connecting this [device] opens” pop-up menu, then choose AutoImporter.
    • Remove items from the device after transferring them to your computer: Select “Delete after import” in the lower-left corner of the window.
