Hi andie_rose,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you are seeking a way to transfer the music from your iPhone to your iPod nano. I'd like to help.

You can use iTunes to sync content to your iOS device. This would be the method you would use to sync music to your iPod nano. The music that you have on your iPhone, would need to have been part of your iTunes library already. If your music is already a part of your iTunes library on your computer, you can follow these steps to sync it to your iPod nano: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support. Please keep in mind, syncing is a one-way street. This means, music will only sync from iTunes to your device. You cannot sync music from your iPhone to your iTunes library. When you choose to sync with iTunes, the content that exists on your iOS device, is replaced with the content in your iTunes library.

Thank you for your post!

Take care.
