my brother was playing around with his settings and pressed something on accident and now his phone is stuck on the activation screen. I forgot what email i used for his apple ID and now we can’t access his phone, is there any way to help him?

It will look something like "a********g@h*******r.com" Use this hint to help you remember the email address you used to set up the device. Good luck.

See if he/you can recover the ID/password.
Apple ID - How to find your Apple An iCloud e-mail address is an Apple ID.
