Can you use HomeKit with apple CarPlay

Why can’t I use Siri in apple CarPlay to turn off my lights or turn them on in my home. But I can use Siri on phone and iwatch to do it? This doesn’t seem correct if not why is this happening?

Because what you want hasn't been implemented into CarPlay.
