Disabled Ipod Help!

Hi there, My son found my old iPod, and while its disabled, he would like to load it with music. It currently says "iPod is disabled Connect to iTunes", however iTunes won't recognize the device because it is locked....help!

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
