Unable to reset & rescan audio units

Hi,

I installed my plug-ins (Prominy - V Metal) with NI and I should be all set to go... Except that every time I try to select "reset & rescan audio units" in Logic Pro X, the screen comes up white.

I'm running High Sierra, 10.13.6.

Even when I try to rescan the plug-ins from inside Logic in preferences, it does the same thing. Is there another way around this? So infuriating...
