I keep getting this message too, and I'm not trying to purchase anything. I have also tried turning off all automatic app updates, but I still get the message, sometimes several times per day.
I have the same issue. I’m not trying to purchase or upload anything to my Apple Watch. There are no updates waiting on existing apps. Very annoying
