Lost airpods offline tracking

I lost my airpods (both airpods in their case) and am fairly certain of where/when I lost them at the store. On Find My, they show up at the time and place I’m expecting, but I wasn’t able to find them there. They are now offline. If they were stolen, would they come back online if the person tried to charge and connect to my airpods? Or in what situations would the airpods show up again and update in Find My?

Hi there,

No.

AirPods can only be located if they are in Bluetooth range of one of your devices, so they would only come back online if one of your devices was within Bluetooth range of your AirPods.
