mac os catalina printer not working

I did an up date to my mac and know I can't seem to print on a wireless printer Dell c176 color MFP, I uninstalled it and re installed it and still get message saying "stopped filter failed. Can someone help?

HP Printer Stopped "filter" failed I have 2012 MacBook Pro. Installed with macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7. I'm getting a "filter" failed message on my HP Office Jet 6500 E709n Series printer. How can I fix? Thanks

I haven't checked the compatibility list, but https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchl3c1a7aef/mac makes useful reading
