Missing Camera Message on a Video Clip

How do I edit a video clip in IMOVIE when the missing camera message is displayed on the video clip after it's already been imported from my camera to my Macbook Pro?

Video on my camera shows in Photos but not in iMovie on your Mac This is pathetic. Take a 30 second video on your camera and it shows in Photos but not in iMovie on your Mac? And if you go into Photos and try to "Edit with iMovie" you get an error message that iMovie can't open the .mov file? Seriously, iMovie should see the clip and download it from iCloud. imovie - change the change I mistakenly changed a video clip to a still/photograph and want to change the clip back to video. Since I couldn't figure out how to do this, I deleted the clips with this problem and tried to again drag the videos from Photos to Imovie. Now, regardless of what clips I try to drag, all become stills with the camera icon in the top left corner of the clip. I can't click on the camera icon to open it, and don't know what commands can get me back to my original video version.
