wallpaper on my iPad 6th generation

when I attempt to use a photo for wallpaper I get a date and time imprinted on top of photo.

How do I get rid of it?

Wallpaper I am trying to change my wallpaper. Every photo I choose pops up with 9:41 and January 9th. How do I eliminate that date and time

You cannot, this has been added with iOS 13.

You would need to actually set it as a wallpaper to preview it without the time & date.
