Can I copy from 1 generation ipad to 10.2 7th generation 2019 Ipad & still keep info on both ipads - need different ID & password for each or can I use the same ID and password for both? What is the easiest way for me to do this since my old ipad is so old but still works. Want to be able to use both.

All iPad models run iOS. You should be able to make a backup of your iPad with your computer running iTunes (or through the Finder if you have a newer Mac). You could then restore your new iPad to the backup of your older iPad.
Suppose I will have to use Icloud since don't think my old machine has IOS or at least not IOS11. Will try this. Thank you.
