External webcam quality when webcam is used in facetime

I just bought myself a webcam from Logitech expected it to work as advertised on mac with facetime but there seems to be a problem, the camera quality shown while using facetime is downright garbage. I thought it was a problem with the webcam since I bought it second hand but It worked as expected and perfectly fine, 1080p quality in both Photo booth and OBS. I do not have any idea what seems to be the problem with facetime having garbage quality.

The camera may need a specific driver to speak the Facetime protocols properly. Contact the manufacturer for drivers. One camera I know works without modifications is the Logitech C615. Just a happy customer of one.
