How do I watch programs on my Sony tv ?

I have an Apple subscription and watch some things on my iPad. But I also would like to share some programs (like The Elephant Queen) with my husband on our 2year old 80” Sony in our living room

How can we enjoy programs like that on our big screen tv ?

iPad Air 2, iOS 12

I don’t believe Sony supports the Apple TV app which means you need to buy a device that does like an Apple TV HD or 4K model or some other device.
