Remove Purchasing ability on iPhone

My kids and I all share the same Apple ID on our devices. However, I want to turn of my son's ability to make purchases on his phone without my knowledge and approval. How do I do this?

Sign out of iTunes Store on his device while you are holding the device and have access to Settings. You may also need to set up restrictions: Use Screen Time to prevent purchasing on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - https://support.apple.com/HT204396 - "The iTunes Service is only available for individuals aged 13 years or older or children under 13 who have received an Apple ID through the Apple ID for Students program. If your child is under the age of 13 and isn't an educational Apple ID holder, Apple must close and delete all information associated with their account."

You really need to get separate accounts for each user. This will be a big help in the long run as well as getting access to features such as Ask To Buy.

Request and make purchases with Ask to Buy - https://support.apple.com/HT201089 - Family Organizer receives requests by default, but another parent or guardian can be assigned permission.
