MacBook Air 2017 Power Bank

Does anyone know of any power banks (external batteries, etc. - I'm not sure what the official name for them is) that are compatible with with a 2017 MacBook Air? It also needs to be able to go on an airplane. When searching online, I am not finding any that work with a MacBook air from before 2018.

Not certain if this product, which I've no experience, could suffice.

They show this in Apple store online; and has image of MB/Air.

Has some different power options outlined there. And connectors.

• Mophie PowerStation USB-C 3XL External Battery - Apple

However this may or not be what you are looking for; yet the brand

has some other products. And Apple cable connections adapters &

etc may work to give versatile use with products such as these.

There's really nothing that I would particularly trust since a 2017 MBA charges off of MagSafe 2. There are a few USB-C to MagSafe 2 adapters or cables, but they seem kind of sketchy. I would worry about them being safe. I might be possible to plug one into a USB-C power bank. A good power bank isn't the problem though.

The newer MacBook Airs that charge off of USB-C are very flexible. I've played around with them and my wife's can be powered off almost any USB-A or USB-C power bank or source. I've used a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge it, although System Report says it's limited to maybe 10 or 12W depending on the output power.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems like there isn't a great answer for a MacBook Air from 2017 and this thread is confirming that. Thanks for answering though

There may be, but they’re all questionable as to whether they work and maybe if they’re safe.

The first one is a MagSafe 2 cable that plugs into a USB-C power source. The copy says that a power bank might work, but I believe it would need to supply native voltage of at least 15V. Some USB-C power banks do. The next one is a MagSafe 2 to USB-C female adapter. It would require another USB-C cable. I think these are primarily designed to connect to AC power adapters that out out at least 15V.

There are some higher voltage USB-C power banks. I believe this one does:
