firewire to thunderbolt 3 adapter

I have a device that has firewire 800 need to connect to my iMac with thunderbolt 3. is there an adapter for this? the adapter that apple sells says will only connect fw800 to thunderbolt 2. Any ideas?

iMac 27", macOS 10.12

You need two adapters to get from USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 to FireWire 800.

a > Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter - Apple

and a > Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter - Apple
