Yahoo mail and mac OS Yosemite
I can send/receive yahoo mail on Catalina and my iPad but not with Yosemite. Also have another Mac Pro with Snow Leopard/Lion. Not able to use yahoo mail there either.
Why?

Verizon, Yahoo, and AOL have merged email servers. You can try a more compatible browser such as one of the last versions of Firefox to work with the operating system in question, and visit http://mail.yahoo.com/ with it to load it.
An older version of Thunderbird might also work, with the settings on Yahoo's website. Make sure it is set to load with lower security in the webmail settings under IMAP.
