All of a sudden I cannot download e-mail to Apple Mail 11.5 on my Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2012 - High Sierra 10.13.6. It fails to connect. It is not the server, since it is okay on my iMac. Any suggestions?

Use of an App Password:

I found the issue to be with my VPN connection. Suddenly, Mail will not connect while using my Nord VPN. I have been using this setup for three years with no problem, but all of a sudden it will not connect unless I disconnect VPN (it matters not where it is connected), close, and reopen Mail. Wierd.
Then you may need Ways to securely access AOL Mail…
