CleanMyMac X safe for full access?
Hello,
I've read a few forums in regards to having these kind of 'cleaning' softwares, giving them full access is hazardous, they may be malware?
Is that right?
What's the alternative?
Mac Pro, macOS 10.14

No Anti-Virus software or so-called “cleaning” apps are needed or recommended for Mac OS. They can conflict with Mac's own built-in security. At best they will slow your Mac by using unnecessary resources and at worst will bork your entire system. Your Mac has all the built-in protection you need. And CleanMyMac is one of worst things you can use.

DO NOT install Clean my Mac on your premium-quality Macintosh computer.
The alternative is to thoughtfully remove the things you do not want any more.
Your Mac does not accumulate filth that needs brute force cleaning.
