Password sharing prompt comes up too often

This prompt comes up every time I open my phone on my home network. How can I stop that from happening?

A Few Thoughts in Connecting to Wi-Fi:

  • On your iPhone: Remove your network (SSID) — add it back to the list.

  • Restart your modem/router.

  • Two Settings to Consider Configuring:
  1. Image 1: On the SSID List (network name): Disable: Ask to Join Networks
  2. Image 2: On the SSID, Enable: Auto Join

"I had to reconfigure my Apple TV the other day and it started happening after that."

Do you Use Home Sharing?

I think what is going on is Home Sharing is turned to "On". Or some other sharing is occurring. So, turn "Off" Home Sharing on your Apple TV. See if that stops the prompt:

Go Here: Stream Content with Home Sharing on Apple TV - Apple Support

Reset the Apple TV: If this all occurred after reconfiguring your Apple TV, then this time Reset all settings, rather and reconfigure it. As long as you have a record of the passwords for your Networks and iTunes, then you should be good to go. Don't do this if you have lots to reconfigure, or are uncertain of the security info.

To Reset It: Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.

Note that everything would be reset to Factory Settings. So, all would be reconfigured.
